Processor Strategy

Overall Strategy

Distributed Processing Strategy

We have chosen to provide computing to our clients in a distributed way: the financial data is housed in the mainframe, and it is replicated to distributed platforms for clients to view and manipulate it. Almost all the multi-user software systems we have supply or use financial data in some form. As long as FIS, the financial information system, remains on the mainframe, the financial data will be housed there, too. This puts the mainframe at the center of the distributed processing strategy.

Current Situation and Strategy by Processor Type

Paramount currently has production systems running on four major hardware platforms:

IBM Mainframe (Multiprise Server 2003-126)

IBM AS/400 (RISC 640e, 620e, and S10’s)

Hewlett Packard 9000 (UNIX)

Intel-based (UNIX, Novell, and NT)

This strategy will address the all of these hardware platforms as they relate to the "application server" environment, including the operating system and database software environment planned for them. Technical Services is responsible for all non-Novell and non-Notes application servers.

Strategy Of Processor

Total Strategy

Strategy Of distributed Processing

We chose to provide calculation to our customers of a distributed way: the financial data are placed in the central processing unit, and they are folded up with the distributed platforms so that customers visualize it and for handle. Almost all the multi-user software systems we have provide or use financial data in a certain form. As a long time as MADE, the financial information system, rests on the central processing unit, the financial data will be placed there, therefore. This puts the central processing unit at the center of the strategy of distributed processing.

Current Situation and Strategy by Standard Processor

Paramount has current systems production to function on four principal platforms of hardware:

Central processing unit of IBM (Server 2003-126 Of Multi-grip)

IBM AS/400 (RISC 640e, 620e, and S10's)

Hewlett Packard 9000 (UNIX)

based on INTEL (UNIX, Novell, and NT)

This strategy will address the all these platforms of hardware as they associate with the environment "of server of application", including the environment of software of operating system and basic of data envisaged for them. The Technical Services is responsible for all the servers of application of not-Novell and not-Notes.
